International freight forwarding · Sea · Air · Road · Customs

From any port in the world to your door in Southern Africa.

Argonavia is an international freight forwarder and customs agent based in Ndola. We bring sea and air freight in through Dar es Salaam, Beira, Durban and Walvis Bay, run it up the SADC corridors on our own trucks, clear it, and deliver it — into the Copperbelt, the DRC and across the region.

We move it. We clear it. We own the outcome.

No finger-pointing between a transporter, a broker and a clearing agent. One team, one file and one person answerable to you from pickup to release.

  4. 04

    Clear

Entry lodged on ASYCUDA, duties advised, release chased in person if it stalls.

Why Argonavia

One team on the Copperbelt, not a chain of vendors

We started because our own trucks kept losing days at the border. The fixes we made for ourselves are the service we now sell.

Ndola is the base, not a branch

Our office sits in Ndola's Heavy Industrial Area, ninety minutes from Kasumbalesa. When a truck is held, someone drives out.

A fleet behind the forwarder

We run our own trucks on the Copperbelt corridors, so the capacity we quote is capacity we can see, not a promise passed down a chain of brokers.

One file for freight and customs

Transport, bond and clearance are arranged against the same consignment record, so the paperwork and the entry never disagree.

One person, start to finish

The person who quotes your shipment is the person who tracks it and clears it. No handoffs, no call centre.

Updates you don't have to ask for

Loading, departure, each border crossing and delivery — sent to you as they happen, not when you chase.

One invoice, itemised

Freight, bond, duties and clearing on one document, so finance sees the true landed cost of every load.

Someone drives to the border

When a truck is held, our operations desk escalates and, if it takes it, a person goes to the post.

Global reach, local control

Any origin. Four gateways. One hub.

Sea and air freight is booked through our partner agents at origin, lands at the gateway port that suits the cargo, and from there it is on our own trucks, our own customs file and our own people to the door.

Sea and air legs are arranged with licensed partner agents at origin; the road, customs and delivery legs in Southern Africa are ours. One file, one invoice, one contact from origin to door.

Plan a shipment

Typical transit times and the documents you'll need

Pick a gateway and a destination. You get the usual road time, the border used and the paperwork we prepare with you — then send it to us for an exact quote.

Questions we get

Before you send the first shipment

The short answers. For anything specific to your cargo, email us and the person who replies is the person who will handle it.

What do you need from me to quote?

What is moving, its weight and dimensions, where it is collected, where it is delivered, and when it needs to be there. If you already have a commercial invoice and packing list, send those and we take the rest from them.

Do you handle the customs entry as well as the transport?

Yes. Transport, warehousing, transit bond and the customs declaration are arranged against the same consignment file, so the truck, the paperwork and the entry never disagree.

Which origins, ports and routes do you cover?

Sea freight from China, India, the Middle East, Europe and the Americas through Dar es Salaam, Beira, Durban and Walvis Bay; air freight into Lusaka, Ndola and Johannesburg. By road: Kasumbalesa into the DRC, Nakonde to Tanzania and Dar es Salaam, Chirundu to Zimbabwe and on to South Africa, Kazungula to Botswana, Mwami to Malawi and Katima Mulilo to Namibia and on to Walvis Bay. Ports and cities we run to: Dar es Salaam, Beira, Maputo, Durban, Johannesburg, Walvis Bay, Lubumbashi, Likasi and Kolwezi. Ndola is the hub.

Can I see where my truck is?

Yes. Our operations desk sends position and border-crossing updates while your cargo is in transit, and is reachable outside office hours for trucks on the road.

Do you arrange customs bonds and guarantees?

Yes. We arrange customs bonds and bank guarantees for bonded warehousing and removal-in-transit movements, and we lodge the RIT and T1 entries against them.

Ready to move?

No call centre, no runaround. Send the shipment details and an experienced person replies with one quote for freight and clearing.
